Holy Cow! I came across a really neat piece of information that I didn’t know existed and that is - you can build a niche store with EBay and you can do it in very little time - about 10 minutes.

Here’s the steps to build a niche store with EBay:

1. Pick a niche. There are so many niches to choose from and you could literally promote just about anything. Some examples are: golf, diamonds, antiques, a music group, watches, fishing, etc…The list goes on.

2. Develop your website. Build a niche has features that can make your website feel like it’s related to your target niche (through design)to add width and depth through the Store Page and Content Page features. Customize your site to target your niche.

3. Market your website using the following methods: SEO, article marketing, forum marketing, Squidoo lenses, social bookmarking, link building, USFreeads or PPC.

That’s it! 3 easy steps to build a niche store with EBay products. What’s even better is the price of $97.00. That’s not bad for building a website easily and quickly. If you’re looking for a great way to start an online business, you should look into this.

Joining Affiliate Programs

Being new to affiliate marketing means you need to join affiliate marketing programs. There are so many programs to join that sometimes we can just about pull our hair out trying to decide which ones to go with. I am going to list several that are good starting points, allthough please do not limit yourself to the ones listed.

When you are joining affiliate programs, each one will ask for some information. After filling out the application, you usually will have to wait a day or two to find out if you have been accepted into their program. Most let you know fairly quickly. If you are accepted, it’s time to start browsing through the different merchant sites and see which ones you want to join.

After choosing your merchants it’s time to put up your ads or banners on your website. If you do not have a website, you can quickly put one up at FreeWebs or Geocities. You can also use UsFreeAds to promote products. Each merchant has it’s own section where you can create links and get the banner codes. Your codes have your affiliate link embedded inside. Once you have the codes you can put these on your site or ad.

Here are some networks to start with that each have a good amount of merchants to keep you busy:

Commission Junction
Pepperjam Network
PayDotCom
Shareasale
Clickbank

In addition to the above you can also become an affiliate of Amazon.com and EBay and use these to put up a store online using the products they offer. I believe ToysRUs has something similar.

As you can see, the possibilities are endless in the search for joining affiliate programs. Most online businesses have affiliate programs and just so you know, they should NOT charge you a fee. Please be cautious of any that want some kind of payment.

Using Hubpages To Promote Products

Hubpages is a free and easy way to promote your affiliate products. This is an easy website to learn to use and you can quickly put up an article in minutes. Writing an article is a bit intimidating for some, but if you do it a few times, it gets easier and easier. Start with writing about things you know about. Gardening, Cooking, Home Business, Fishing…the list goes on and on. If you’re not an expert on a subject, use the internet as a source of information. Learn about the product you want to promote. With Hubpages, you can add text, pictures, videos and links to your products.

Hubpages has an affiliate section that makes it easy to become an affiliate of Amazon.com, Google Adwords and EBay. You can also track your progress and see how many people are viewing your articles. Don’t worry about the Hub Score. This goes up and down and is not neccessarily an indicator of bad articles.

Using Hubpages to promote your products is a great way for a beginner to get into article writing and an easy starting point. Start writing your articles today and see just how much potential you have to earn some money and have fun at the same time.

Affiliate Marketing On A Budget

You may be thinking, “How can I start a business, if I don’t have alot of extra money?” Believe me, alot of us don’t. Starting a business can be a scary thing. That is what Affiliate Marketing is - A Business. But it’s YOUR business. You can work as much or as little as you want. The best thing about being an Affiliate Marketing Mom is you don’t need alot of money to start. I started at Wealthy Affiliate (which I mention in a previous post) which is a place that will teach you Affiliate Marketing. They charge a monthly tuition, but it’s very reasonable and you can opt out at any time. I highly recommend finding some kind of program that will teach you the “how” of Affiliate Marketing.

Even with the cost of a program, there are other ways to make money on a budget. If you go to Clickbank.com you can become an Affiliate of any number of their products and market them through ads which can be free or some will charge a low cost per month fee. A good place to start with ads is UsFreeAds. You can become an Affiliate with literally thousands of merchants for free. The next time you shop online, scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for an Affiliate tab. That means they have a program.

You might want to try to have your own website. This too is not very expensive. You will need to buy a domain name and get hosting. A few I recommend is GoDaddy and WebHostingPad. If you click on their names on the sidebar you can see there prices are very reasonable.

So as you can see, becoming an Affiliate Marketer is not very expensive to start and you can work from home, which is the best reason to get into the business.
